Sugar and Spice Crafty Challenge #8

Okay, so I know some of our crafters are getting busy now with kids out of school and with the weather getting hotter it makes us slow down a lot more.  And talk about 2014 being half way over!?  Time is flying by.  It is even less than half a year till Christmas.

So…  (in case you didn't already know…)  we are going to be having a challenge that will run from July 1st to July 24th this month… because the theme is Christmas in July!!  Woohoo! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!  We will have a big drawing on the 25th and the present will be delivered shortly thereafter.  :)  So get your ho-ho-ho, reindeer, santa, tree, etc. scrap stuff out and create something.  It's a great chance to get started on presents or cards, too.  And remember you can enter up to three times.  Can't wait to see your creations.  Let's get craftin'.

Guidelines:
1.  Enter a link to the photo/video of your creation.
(Each entry must be a different link/post for inlinkz to accept it.)
2. Include a link to this challenge in the description.
3. You may combine challenges. But your work must be a new creation. No backdated posts allowed.
4.  You can enter up to three times.
5. The winner will be a sent a goodie package (usually shared beforehand on YT:  myscrappylife).

Here are so creations from our design members:

Sherri altered a memo pad in fun untraditional colours.

Check out how Nicole made a pretty one layer card.

Leah made a lovely textured, vintage-y Santa snow globe.

O-M-G, Mariko's card is doggone cute!

Love how Cheri did her Xmas list in July!

Winner of Challenge #7

And the winner is… Canada! (jk…) But it is someone in Canada.

She actually made 6 cards in total (with three entries).
So I guess she tripled her chances of winning!
I love her enthusiasm.

Everyone did lovely cards, too.  I wish I could send you all a prize.  :)

But there is a pretty nice price package to be won next month.  Stay tuned!

Sugar and Spice Challenge #7

Time for a new challenge!!  WOOHOO!!  InLinkz will open on June 18th and close on the 29th.  May the best country (scrapper) win!

The guidelines are:
1. You only need to submit a link to a photo/video of your completed work by the due date. I am using Inlinkz, so it will close automatically when the time is up.
2. Include a direct link to this challenge post in your description.
3. You may combine challenges. But your work must be a new creation. No backdated posts allowed.
4.  You can enter up to three times (to up your chances of winning (^_~) )!
5. The winner will be a random generator (I couldn't pick anyone) and will be sent a prize as their winnings, along with bragging rights.

Here some inspiration:

Since most of our design members are Canadian or American (apart from Mariko), this challenge will be centered around Canada Day - July 1st and Independence Day - July 4th.

Create something crafty that is Patriotic - Red and White or White, Red, and Blue.  Will it be a challenge to see which country has stronger crafters??  We will just have to wait and see…

Look at the awesome projects from our design members:

In love with the sparkle on Nicole's card!  I love the sparkle!

A wintery Canadian card from Sherri - how cute is that seal pup!?

Love the embossing and butterfly on Leah's Canada card!

Mariko made a lovely Canada Day card.

Let's get patriotic, scrappers!  (Funny that the prize will be coming from Japan, though…)

The challenge inlinkz will be open from Wednesday, June 18th until Sunday, June 29th (9pm, Pacific Time).  May the best crafter win!!  (Just kidding, it's only random (^_~)/~~~)

Winner of Challenge #4!

Check out the main page for the latest challenge! sugarandspicechallenge.blogspot.com

Thanks to all the ladies who participated in the 4th challenge for Sugar and Spice.  I honestly think we had the best entries yet!  The winner of the awesome package from Butterfly Reflections is…

I just love her fun card for spring!

You will receive this Pink Paislee Hello Sushine collection pictured below:

A big thank you to our sponsor! Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and good taste!  We love you, Vanessa from Butterfly Reflections Ink - you are an awesome business owner and friend!

For your information, in Japan here, we have a bunch of holidays grouped together into a week, known as Golden Week.  During this time, I will be doing some spring cleaning and much needed reorganization and tidying (yes…the scrapspace is on the list, too!)  So I hope you understand when I announce our challenge is taking a break for a the first half of May…we will return with a new *mixed* challenge on May 14th.  Because of the long break, the challenge will run a bit longer…until June 1st.

Oh, I am thinking to have the challenges start on a Wednesday and end on a Sunday (regularly it will be about a week and a half to finish the challenge, giving me time to prep the posts etc before the next challenge).

Also, I would like to have your input on prizes… would it be preferred to have a prize pack (pre-picked) or a gift certificate??  I was thinking about rotating one prize pack and one gift certificate.  Would you prefer May's prize in goodie form or a gift certificate?? Send me info to my address:  makescrappygoodness@gmail.com or any other the other ways you know how to contact me.  :)

Have a great week and may it be Golden!!
